This project involved the redevelopment of a town-centre site comprising of the former Victoria Halls theatre in Hamilton to create new flats for Clyde Valley Housing Association. The retention of the listed sandstone facade and its incorporation into the new building was central to the design solution. Allied to this the new layout had to work within a deep and narrow gap site with tenement properties to either side. The resulting building provides a range of new accommodation within its town centre location and in doing so has brought new life and vibrancy to a previously neglected and under-used building.
