This commission was to design a 10 storey hotel on a gap site between 2 listed buildings on Jamaica Street in the centre of Glasgow, adjacent to Central Station.

Images of the original design that we submitted for planning permission are shown, and the revised consented design, which obtained Planning Permission in 2009.

The design attempts to reflect the rhythm and scale of the neighbouring buildings and the upper floors are recessed to maintain the massing of the street.
